Have you ever experienced being in the presence of someone so joyful and so full of life that you just couldn't help but be drawn into the joy? Mary Kay Moore is just such a person. Born in Youngstown, Ohio into an Irish/Catholic family, Mary Kay has two sisters, a brother and two beloved dogs Duke and Jodie. She resides in Canton, Oh and serves as associate pastor in a non-denominational church. This spirited, petite and out-going red head can usually be found pouring into her many "spiritual daughters" as she leads a weekly community Bible study at her church. Mary Kay lights up when she is encouraging and equipping women. Her spiritual coaching ministry "Growing on Purpose" is a direct result of her intense love for Jesus and obedience to His promptings. Her heart is to help women grow in their relationship with Jesus and His Word...to help them realize their value, significance and worth, and to help them discover God's divine design for their lives.

Mary Kay was brought up in the Catholic faith where she first fell in love with Jesus. She was inspired to enter religious life at the young age of 14, after reading the book: "Nora Said Yes," about a young vivacious girl who made the decision to enter the convent and follow Jesus. She received a BS degree and later a Masters degree in Education during her time with the sisters of Notre Dame. A self professed "Lifetime Learner" Mary Kay shared her joy, encouragement and love of learning with students in several elementary schools and later became principal at a school in her own hometown. The Lord eventually moved her from the busyness of the classrooms to the contemplative Life in the Monastery of the Poor Clares where Mary Kay spent six years being more deeply equipped in prayer, spiritual direction, and leading directed retreats. Always seeking God's direction in her life, Mary Kay experienced an intimate encounter with Jesus... one that would lead her to one of the most challenging decisions of her life. The Lord began a new chapter in Mary Kay's life as He led her out from religious life to embrace a different vision that He had for her in the world. The Lord knew what He was doing. This little 4'11" red head with joy in her heart and a spring in her step courageously left her beloved convent in search of God's new plan for her life. Within six weeks of leaving, she was hired as Director of Religious Education, rented her first apartment, bought her first car and enjoyed time shared with family and friends. In the course of events, God brought a wonderful man into her life who became her soulmate, Light of her Life, and best friend. Three years later they entered into the beautiful covenant of marriage. A few years later, Mary Kay was ordained at High Mill Church of the Resurrection in Canton, Ohio. But even then her ministry didn't stay within the four walls of the church. When God told her to step out in faith He meant STEP OUT! Because her church is extensively involved in missions, she has traveled on many mission trips to preach, encourage, and lead women's retreats in such places as Ukraine, Armenia, India, Africa, Jamaica and Israel. Mary Kay is no stranger to pain and loss. Her precious husband Kenny went to be with the Lord in Feb. of 2006 after a courageous 3 year battle with A.L.S. commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Her sensitivity to those who have lost a loved one is evident as she knows first hand the raw pain of going through the grieving process. Yet through it all Kenny and Mary Kay clung to Jesus and to the faith that would sustain them. They modeled a beautiful testimony of Jesus' love, compassion and service in the midst of the storm.

Matt.5:16 tells us "Let your Light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven."
